Transportation
of fuel on the streets and highways in Ontario requires special
training and specific vehicles capable of transporting fuel
legally. All drivers are trained for the Transportation of
Dangerous Goods and spill control. Amosite is registered
with the Ministry of Environment. The MOE number is visible
on all Amosite trucks. Placards are placed on all sides of
the trucks to indicate the type of hazardous material it
is transporting. Amosite believes that it is essential for
the contractors to know that our staff are professionals
in handling and transporting hazardous materials.
Amosite
removes above ground and underground oil storage tanks. There
is a licensed Petroleum Mechanic on site at all times, and
will produce the licence upon request. Removal and disposal
of all storage tanks are completed in accordance with TSSA
standards.
The staff
of Amosite are trained for the removal of asbestos by Pinchin
Environmental. We follow the guidelines set out in accordance
to the Ministry Regulations for the removal and disposal
of asbestos.
Amosite
removes boilers of all makes and models. Cast iron boilers
are dismantled and disposed of at metal recyclers throughout
Ontario. Commercial steel boilers are dismantled using torches.
Furnaces are also removed in the same manner. Cast iron radiators,
piping, air-conditioning units and duct work, are some of
the other specialties Amosite performs.
